GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS AND APPLICATIONS
Tuff-Rod TR-E308L-16 is a stainless steel electrode producing stainless deposits for joining corrosion resistant stainless steels of equal or lower grade including Niobium-stabilized AISI 347 grade steel. The low carbon content avoids intercristalline corrosion in the heat-affected area. The deposit is resistant to carbide precipitation and corrosion by influence of sulfurous or nitrogenous atmospheres at working temperatures up to 350°C (wet corrosion). The alloy is resistant to scaling at temperatures up to 875°C. The deposit of MW 308L-16/17 can be polished for high gloss.
